What we collect and why
When you request a quote
The quote form asks for the information we need to price and carry out a job:
- Your name, email address and phone number - so we can send you the quote and contact you about the job.
- Pickup and drop-off addresses - to work out distance, access and pricing.
- Your preferred date - to check availability against our schedule.
- Job details - the service you need, and for home moves whether an extra helper is needed, whether your things are already packed, and whether either address is an apartment with or without a lift.
- Photos you choose to upload - optional, and used only to size the job accurately.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
When you contact us
If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that correspondence so we can deal with your enquiry and refer back to it if you get in touch again. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
When you browse the site
We measure how the site is used, and - if you accept cookies - how our advertising performs. See Cookies and tracking below.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. Each processes data only on our instructions.
| Provider | What it handles | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting, server logs, photo storage for quote uploads | EU / US |
| Resend | Sending your quote confirmation and our internal notification email | EU / US |
| Meta (WhatsApp Business) | Instant alert to our team that a quote request has come in | EU / US |
| Google (Calendar) | Provisionally holding your requested date in our schedule | EU / US |
| Google (Maps & Places) | Address autocomplete on the quote form; displaying our public reviews | EU / US |
| Google (Analytics & Ads) | Site analytics and advertising measurement - only if you accept cookies | EU / US |
| Meta (Pixel) | Advertising measurement - only if you accept cookies | EU / US |
Where a provider transfers data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests that don't become jobs - up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Completed jobs - up to 6 years, because Irish tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of work carried out.
- Photos uploaded to the quote form - automatically deleted 90 days after they are uploaded.
- Analytics and advertising data - retained according to the provider's own settings, typically 14 months.
Cookies and tracking
Nothing non-essential runs until you accept it. When you first visit, you get a choice; if you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
| Type | What it does | Needs consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Remembers your cookie choice. Stored in your browser only. | No |
| Analytics | Google Analytics - which pages people visit and how they got here. | Yes |
| Advertising | Meta Pixel and Google Ads - measures whether our ads lead to quote requests. | Yes |
We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google's tags are told not to store anything until you opt in.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing.
- Receive a copy of data you gave us, in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on.
Email contact@wedotravels.ie and we'll respond within one month.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission:
